Google and me

Many people have asked me if I am angry that Google Adsense kicked this site out. No I am not this site did not made any money with Google Adsense anyway. Besides I am grateful that I could keep the other sites I have. Sure I am disappointed that they kick out a fan site off Google but hey! I know why I got kicked out and I clearly broke the rules they have set up so my bad my bad.

This give me a great opportunity to try other means of getting money to this blog so more reports will come the following weeks about alternative to Adsense but I will not stop writing about Google off course not don’t be silly.

I got banned by Google well not all my sites just one site and it is this one. I still see the ads on the site so I do not know what they mean by they have banned it.

Maybe it takes a while before the ads goes away. I already have an Adbrite account so I will use that instead I was not making any money with Google Adsense anyway on this site. Pay Per Post makes much more money then Adsense ever did.

It felt a bit harsh when I sent in a report to them with 100 sites that I have paid for in Adword and they have pop up blocking ads and selling warez and they not get banned. But a fan site to Google get banned with no warning

Many people have asked me why reported the sites that showed my Adword ads and what they have done wrong.

Well if you check on the Adsense Program Policies then you will see the following

Encouraging clicks

In order to ensure a good experience for users and advertisers, publishers may not request that users click the ads on their sites or rely on deceptive implementation methods to obtain clicks. Publishers participating in the AdSense program:

• May not encourage users to click the Google ads by using phrases such as “click the ads,” “support us,” “visit these links,” or other similar language
• May not direct user attention to the ads via arrows or other graphical gimmicks
• May not place misleading images alongside individual ads
• May not promote sites displaying ads through unsolicited mass emails or unwanted advertisements on third-party websites
• May not compensate users for viewing ads or performing searches, or promise compensation to a third party for such behavior
• May not place misleading labels above Google ad units - for instance, ads may be labeled “Sponsored Links” but not “Favorite Sites”

Most of the site I reported had graphical gimmicks and misleading images alongside individual ads on every page.

I myself had a page like that and I did not know that was ok it was just when they changed the policies. Some of the pages also had POP UP that was very annoying and blocking the Adsense ads.

I did a Google Adword report now on all my sites and I have discovered so many more that are wrong and I have reported them as well but it taken up to much of my time and I am not sure Google Adword will give me any money back.

Many people asking if they can have other ads then Adsense on same page as the Adsense ads and the answer is yes.

In the Adsense Program Polices it says that

In order to prevent user confusion, we do not permit Google ads or search boxes to be published on websites that also contain other ads or services formatted to use the same layout and colors as the Google ads or search boxes on that site. Although you may sell ads directly on your site, it is your responsibility to ensure these ads cannot be confused with Google ads.

Now these rules are not really clear since both Yahoo and Msn ads are pretty similar to the Adsense ads so you better check your local webmaster forum or ask Google to approve your site first. You should also check the Adsense Program Policies from time to time just to make sure.

In my response to the letter I wrote to Adword I got a normal standard email back and did as they said starting with to report AdSense violations. Lets wait 2 weeks and see what they do.

I have not been in to Google for a while it’s my mistake I know I should have. I went in today to pause one site that we are updating.

I saw this new function (for me) that now you can see where the clicks come from on content network and o man o man what a nightmare

Let me just say that 90 % of the sites where Arab Mp3 download sites even if I have put the countries to western they still live there I guess and they watch these sites.

But how they get Thai Flowers to Arab Mp3 I do not know.

Most of the sites violated Adsense rules 2 or 3 times with pop up ads with Google and pictures on the ads or near the ads. Many CTR was 100 %

Lucky for me the money was not that big and I sent a report to Adword but they are going to say as normal nothing wrong nothing wrong.

I blocked them off course but I guess I have to keep blocking them to not get tricked.

I was doing a 404 page for my new server and I relaise that Google Adsense have change the rules on how many ads you can have on the page now. Before it was a bit limited but now its almost as much as the page can handle.

There are new idiots born every day people that think that Google AdSense and Google Adword are fools or something. People create a site and then ask the friends to click on the ads and just make money month after month.

Then they take keywords like

I got a pretty good answer from the people in the Adsense Team yesterday. I was asking them about a site that I saw have Adsense ads and if that site was ok because I have a similar once. Basically they told me the normal stuff about adult and sex but then they went funny and ask if a child of 7 years would find it disturbing and on that question I must say yes.

So next time you site get kicked out from Google Adsense remember that it was a 7 year old girl working for Google that did it.

You know I have heard the funniest thing from people getting banned by Google and it is almost never their fault. It is always Google makes some kind of mistake. Sure there is some cases when Google Adsense Actually ban people from a mistake but I got banned one time but they only banned 1 site. They told me this site is banned but the rest of the domains are ok.

One guy I saw today he said he got banned because he uploads a blank file? If you not show anything how you can cheat, Adsense does not ban you when your site is down.

One guy said his friend clicked on his links. Well I guess you friend clicked a bit much did he not?

I got my site banned because I had pictures to close on to the ads and I already know that one was coming my bad.
